Dr. Mark Hon Wah Ignatius

Dr. Mark Hon Wah Ignatius is a Senior Consultant ENT Surgeon at Ascent Ear Nose Throat Specialist Group, with clinics located in Orchard, Napier Road, Thomson, and Joo Chiat. He leads the group's Sleep Services and specializes in the diagnosis and management of sleep-related breathing disorders in both adults and children. His practice combines comprehensive evaluation with individualized medical and surgical treatment strategies to improve sleep quality, breathing, and overall health. Dr. Mark's clinical interests include snoring, obstructive sleep apnoea (OSA), sleep disorders, nasal obstruction, and thyroid lumps. He provides both non-surgical and surgical management for patients with sleep-related breathing disorders, tailoring treatment plans according to each patient's clinical condition. His multidisciplinary approach allows patients to benefit from evidence-based sleep medicine integrated with advanced ENT care. Dr. Mark graduated from the National University of Singapore before obtaining Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh), a Master of Medicine in Otorhinolaryngology, Fellowship of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, and certification as an International Sleep Specialist by the American Board of Sleep Medicine. Prior to private practice, he managed the Sleep Clinic at Singapore General Hospital and completed a prestigious Sleep Surgery Fellowship at Stanford University under the SingHealth Health Manpower Development Plan (HMDP) Award. Beyond clinical practice, he is actively involved in medical education, examination, research, and professional leadership, having organized Singapore's first Sleep Surgery Course and Singapore Sleep Awareness Week while serving as President of the Singapore Sleep Society.
